ZENIT, founded in 1959 by Ugo Zeni in Modena, began as a workshop for manufacturing and repairing electric motors and hydraulic pumps for the Italian market. In 1977, under the leadership of Adriana Zeni and Italo Bottan, the company diversified before specializing in 1985 in submersible pumps for wastewater, marking a major strategic turning point.
From 1990, ZENIT expanded internationally (Europe, Asia, South America) and strengthened its industrial capacity with UNI EN ISO 9001 certification in 1995 and a modern 10,000 m² site in San Cesario, later expanded to 19,000 m², including a state-of-the-art test basin. The 2000s saw the company innovate with products for wastewater treatment (mixers, aerators) and the UNIQA® range, equipped with high-efficiency IE3 motors. In 2018, the Grey series optimized these technologies with improved reliability and design.
To support its expansion, ZENIT established bases in Asia (Singapore in 2006, China in 2007 and 2018) and Luxembourg in 2009. In 2024, it joined Tsurumi Manufacturing CO., LTD, consolidating its position among the world leaders in submersible pumps and water treatment solutions.
ZENIT offers electric submersible pumps for domestic, civil, and industrial use, complemented by lifting stations, aeration systems, and management tools. Its strategy is based on innovation, performance, and comprehensive service, from design to after-sales support. By investing in its teams and adopting a lean approach, ZENIT pursues its ambition to meet the needs of the most demanding markets.
